Dr Lee appreciated my circumstances and offered my operation on a private basis or via the NHS. He was very clear about the choice of cost vs waiting time. He clearly explained the processes required if I chose the NHS route. At no time did he make me feel inferior, having chosen the NHS path. Dr Lee clearly explained 2 options for the types of operations I could have. One operation was less major but with benefits in the shorter term only; the other choice of surgery was more risky as it was more complicated; however he explained the long term benefits of the more major operations. He allowed me to choose. When my operation was delayed due to Covid-19, he personally kept in touch with me, giving me possible options for me to weigh up the risks. I very much appreciated that. This was via the NHS route.

Mr Lee was kind enough to take on my complex spinal surgery and correct it with 2 operations, one week apart. He forewarned me of the many complications and possible outcomes, but his incredible skill and supreme dexterity has meant that I can honestly say that barring mild achy thighs, I have never at any point experienced any pain or problems, either with the cages, rods and metalwork, or any of the 3 scars. In fact, if it wasn't for the x-rays, I truly wouldn't believe that this has happened to me as I am not aware of it at all! Mr Lee is such a wonderful man. I trusted him with my life and he not only completely corrected my severe deformity but did it in such a way that meant that I was at ease and worry free at all times. He is my hero and an absolute legend!

I had a major spinal operation carried out by my surgeon Mr Robert Lee. Due to his expertise, the operation was a success and I recovered very well. Mr Lee took his time to explain details of the operation and his caring attitude put me at ease. I was very happy with the aftercare and also very grateful to him. I could not thank him enough for making me well again after the complicated surgery. To me, Mr Lee was a very approachable, pleasant and a very competent surgeon.

After being refusing surgery in another hospital ,I asked to be referred to Mr Lee and he looked at my notes ,gave me a scan and a thorough consultation and said he would do my operation ,as he could see I was in so much pain.He has a really friendly manner and keeps you informed and his after care is very good.I am so greatfull to him and the staff at Stanmore. for my care as they have transformed my life.

At a time when I was trying to find an Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon, Mr. Robert Lee came highly recommended by one of his patients who was very happy with his care and treatment. My first impression of Mr Lee was that he is approachable, knowledgeable, transparent and very caring. My first impression was so true. He has operated on me very successfully. Having lived with pain and decreased mobility, I am so happy with every aspect of his treatment and surgeries. He explained the procedure clearly to both myself and my husband which we appreciated. He is an expert in his field and I am so fortunate to have someone like Mr R Lee operating on me.. I now have a second chance of leading a normal life.
